Goal

To design from the ground-up a completely new website using the LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) stack and find a suitable web-hosting company.

Background

The client had no servers and no website in place. They needed a consultancy to completely take over

• building the entire website from nothing including database and web interface design


• establishing how to host the site


• setting up the domain name and email


• construct a method to backup the database and website daily

Execution

We discussed the exact requirements from the client as to what the site should serve and if there were specific preferences. Troughout the delivery this would be an iterative conversation to ensure all parties were in sync with how the final product should function.

Schedule Of Work included:

• iterative discussions with client for agreement on scope of work


• type of hosting (fully managed or Virtual Private Server VPS), and number of servers


• design of database, tables within, and catalogue of all queries to be performed
